The look & design of the new Apple Macbook Pro 2008 series
The new Macbook Pro is coming the next days!
Apples special event is upcoming this month and what everybody expects is the new Macbook Pro that we are all are waiting for!
Till now nobody knows how the new Macbook Pro will look like, or even if they get a new design.
What we know is that the old design is out for almost 5 years now, so it’s time for an update. And what we have learned, is that Apples new looks are all inspired by the iphone, that’s what the Macbook Air is exactly looking like. A darker grey, some black elements and even more cleaner & rounder design!
Now what do you people think what the new Macbooks Pro may look like???
That’s what spicu is thinkin, and it’s very possible that they gonna look like this:
Let’s see if I’m right on February 26!

Great, i’m getting my PowerBook G4 Titanium back
February 8th, 2008 at 5:57 pm
Looks almost identical to the current one. Bigger trackpad like MB Air? Chicklet keyboard? Ooh! Aah!
February 8th, 2008 at 6:25 pm
Really don’t like the black keyboard…so PC…
February 8th, 2008 at 6:48 pm
mac is crap

I don’t mind the chiclet keyboard, but please not in black. White on silver looks a LOT better than Black on silver.
I wish Apple would be a little more radical with its hinge design. There are some PC laptops where the hinge can allow the LCD screen to rise up and down which is much better ergonomics for typing.

Anyone care to tell me why this mock up has a latch release on the front, yet no latch on the actual body?
February 8th, 2008 at 7:57 pm
I think all any of us ever wanted from Apple was the 12″ Powerbook back… instead they give us this weak Macbook Air crap. The iPhone can do 2/3rds of what the Air can!

Apple will never make a MBP with black keys, the Air is a seperate product and it will become almost indistinguishable from a small image on the store if it adopts all the looks from the Air, aluminum “chicklet” keys would be an interesting choice, but I have high doubts for a black keyboard.
February 8th, 2008 at 8:27 pm
Um, so in other words, EXACTLY like the current model?

[...] It doesn’t seem far-fetched to me. MacBook Air aesthetics, with much rounded corners and sightly thinner frame, are both doable and logic. Our guess is that Apple would lose the DVI port in this new generation however, probably replaced by the mini-DVI on the Air. What I like most about it, however, is that it reminds me of the good old Titanium PowerBook G4. We will see how it turns out, if it does at all, but I wouldn’t say no to this thin-but-not-so-thin beast. [Spicu] [...]

…Nice, we will all feel right at home when we boot up our new MBP’s in Windows mode. Excuse my sarcasm but why steal the design already used in a thousand PC models?
Scary thought; maybe the guys at Apple are losing it…they just don’t have time anymore, with all the new product releases, to be different…not making it 100% as they used to…

There is only a problem. It has the button to open the screen, put it doesn’t have the holes and the little hooks. So that means that it is magnetic, so it doesn’t need the button.
